A multi-disciplinary design firm. Designing tailored environments from scratch or existing spaces with thoughtfulness and respect towards your investment. Purpose, vision and budgets guide sustainable designs and/or LEED certification.
Source, vet and manage crews. We get up early to open doors, supervise to avoid emergencies and leave last to make sure work gets done correctly per plan. Nothing bothers us most than ugly surprises.
Estimating costs are essential to any project. We review solutions, crunch numbers and run tiered scenarios to arrive at realistic budgets. Once the budgets are determined, we make sure they stick!
We absolutely love that each project is different and that clients are different! Focusing on a project's unique set of requirements and challenges makes our work rewarding, interesting and fun!
It is when we bring a collective experience to the problem solving process that noble innovations emerge with clever use of materials, product design and stunning juxtapositions. Hang out with us for a bit and you will quickly learn of our favorite descriptive terms... Tomas' is "obscene". He absolutely abhors anything falling in that category. Violeta's is "interesting" - an expression that cuts both ways when uttered.
Our clients thus know to expect the 'unexpected' as we incorporate any of the following elements...
Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPVs)
Life-Cycle Assessments (LCA)
Roof / Vertical Gardens
Violeta Archer (USA)
Interior Designer / LEED GA
Re-directed her career to interior design after living in Belgium and experiencing Belgian design (and the franc) for two years. After studying at the Rhodec School of Design she opened a showroom in Austin, Texas showcasing sustainable solutions, which was followed by professional experience in Italy for Interface. Overseeing numerous hospitality, office, and institutional projects, she ensured solutions always met client expectations and budgets.
Tomas Ghisellini (Italy)
Educated in classical architecture, but his style quickly catapulted him to prominent recognition in Europe. In 2013 he was recognized in his native Italy with a 40 Architects Under 40 Award and is also a Renzo Piano Awards recipient for implementing design innovations in an academic project in Bergamo, Italy. His architectural firm, Tomas Ghisellini Archittetti, is based in Ferrara, where he leads a team of architects and structural engineers.
